How to Play Blackjack Games

When you have seen what you value for your cards, you should now decide how to play your Blackjack hand.

If you are lucky enough to get an Ace and a card with the value 10 then you will win immediately because you have Blackjack. However, this is rarely done and usually you should either drag another card (hit) or you choose to stay with your first two cards (stand).

If your two cards are of the same value then you can choose to split your hand into two separate hands. Finally, if your hand appears to be able to win, with another card, you can choose to double your bet (double). Remember that you only get ONE card when you double.

When you clear your hand, it is the dealer's turn. The casino's donor draws shortly until it has at least 17. When the dealer has 17 or more, it cannot draw any more cards. If you have more than a casino you have won and you get your money back right away. There are also variants where the dealer draws up a card first and lets the other be hidden.

If neither the dealer nor you get 21, it is the one with the highest card value that wins. If your cards exceed 21, you will receive the message "BUST", which means that you have lost. The same goes for the dealer.

You can also choose to take insurance, but not all casinos offer this. Insurance is often misunderstood because the house has a big advantage. In the blackjack variant where all players get their first cards and then the dealer gets a card usually insurance is usually applied in case the dealer gets an ace on hand. The insurance only works if the dealer has a dressed card on hand together with the ace, ie a natural blackjack. If it turns out that he has a blackjack and you have taken insurance then you get back the bet at odds of 2: 1. However, if the dealer does not have blackjack, you lose the insurance that is at most half your original bet. Normally, the odds for a blackjack are quite low, which means that with a blackjack card count you can figure out if it is worth taking the insurance or not.
